I love the Irish language, always have. I am aware however that my feelings are not shared by many of the students struggling under the yoke of compulsory learning- coercion is rarely the path to devotion. Adventure, surfing, blokarting, body boarding and a day at the beach on the other hand? It’s taken less to spark lifelong affection in the past!
